History
The committee was first established in 2023 under the name “Inter-Table Communication Committee,” at the initiative of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges consultation tables, to better coordinate their actions and improve the flow of information throughout the region. In the absence of a regional governance structure for social development, it relied on representatives appointed by the roundtables. With the adoption of the regional governance framework for social development in February 2025, it took on its current name. Stemming from a community-led initiative, it remains autonomous and does not fall directly under the Policy’s seven regional intervention priorities; however, it is recognized within the governance structure as the working group on communication—an issue deemed cross-cutting by the Roundtable’s members.
