Mission

The Réseau d’Éclaireurs, set up by the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux, aims to strengthen individual and collective resilience in the face of the psychosocial consequences of the pandemic, by fostering social support, mutual aid and participation in meaningful projects, in order to promote well-being and positive mental health within communities.

Objectives

• Strengthening community resilience and the social fabric;
• Increase the community’s capacity to provide psychological and social support to those affected;
• Promote the well-being and health of the population, in particular positive mental health and environments conducive to well-being and health;
• Anchor a culture of positive mental health promotion within the community’s population and resources;
• Mobilize existing community resources.
• The specific objectives of the Éclaireurs de Vaudreuil-Soulanges network were identified at a collective meeting attended by nearly fifty partners from various sectors (health, community, municipal, school, etc.) held on^{January 1st}. March 2023. Participants identified 4 priority actions for the years 2023 to 2026:
  1. Improve knowledge of resources and services available in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges community;
  2. Break isolation and bring organizations closer to the population by participating in various community events;
  3. Facilitate mobility on the territory to encourage participation in community activities;
  4. All other actions promoting social participation.

Files in progress

• Organization of themed networking lunches to facilitate networking between people involved in community organizations, healthcare network stakeholders, municipal employees and elected officials, and all players in social development in Vaudreuil-Soulanges;
• Support for community happy hours in Vaudreuil-Soulanges schools;
• Collaboration with the inter-table communications committee to improve knowledge of resources and services available in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges community
• Call for projects to support the organization of events by local players, rooted in the realities and needs of Vaudreuil-Soulanges and promoting community gathering and citizen participation.
