On January 20, 2026, the members of the CDC-VS took a stand in favor of the movement Le communautaire à boutte. This initiative brings together community organizations wishing to voice the reality of the community and the importance of adequate funding to maintain services to the population. A local cell of the movement has been created to propose mobilization actions.
This local unit is made up of the following members:
- Lucie Gascon, Centre communautaire des aînés VS
- Daphné Paquette Séguin, Maison des jeunes Martin Bernier
- Annie Tranchemontagne, Maison des jeunes Rigaud
- Fanny Leblanc, Les Cèdres Youth Centre
- Marie Legrand, Centre d’action bénévole l’Actuel
- Andréanne Poulin-Lavigne, Comquat
- Nancy Pelletier, Prenatal and Young Family Centre
- Jessica Savage, Maison des jeunes Vaudreuil-Dorion
- Stéphanie Aubert, CDC Vaudreuil-Soulanges
- Martine Tremblay, Maison de la famille Vaudreuil-Soulanges
In the context of the service strike scheduled from March 23 to April 2, the local cell will be coordinating various visibility activities to draw the government’s attention to the issues faced by organizations and the concrete impacts on our community. Community organizations are demanding the recognition, adequate funding and respect that their essential role in society deserves.
