Description
Mission
The Table fosters the pooling of local strengths and partnerships between organizations, with the aim of improving the well-being, living conditions and services offered to seniors.
Objectives
- Develop exchanges and cooperation between stakeholders concerned by the situation of seniors.
- Identify issues and needs specific to seniors.
- Initiate actions and projects aimed at improving the quality of life and well-being of seniors.
- Promote communication and the sharing of expertise among members.
- Act as a consultative and influential body for decision-makers and elected officials in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges MRC.
- Publicize the Table’s achievements through its action plan and annual report.

Achievements
- In 2024, as part of June 15: door-to-door canvassing, distribution of resource directories
- October 1st dinner-show in Coteau-du-Lac, attended by nearly 300 seniors
Membership requirements
A permanent member may be a community organization, an association, a municipality, a public or para-public institution and/or one of its branches. The organization is a member of the TCAVS. The organization must designate its representative to the TCAVS.
Senior population representatives
Two people aged 50 and over, chosen and nominated by members, who wish to speak on behalf of seniors and have an interest in seniors’ issues. Seniors’ representatives will be appointed every two years.
- One representative for the Vaudreuil sector
- One representative from Soulanges
The Table member must:
- Be convinced of the importance of the Table and be actively involved in discussions and decision-making.
- Participate actively in meetings, be punctual and assiduous.
- Commit to the various activities.
- Respect the operating rules and code of ethics.
- Define annual orientations.
- Defend and promote the interests of seniors, not personal interests or those of the organization they represent.
- Promote the Table’s objectives and activities.
- Participate in various working committees.
Meeting description
Minimum of 4 meetings per year, lasting approximately 3 hours
